- Choose the best Diwali Pooja Muhurat (Laxmi Poojan Time) based on Pradosh Kaal (Evening Time) and Choghadiya Muhurat.
- Clean and purify the home and workplace to remove negative energies.
- Decorate the house with rangoli, toran (door garland), lights, and diyas to invite divine energies.
- Arrange a sacred altar (Chowki) with idols/images of Lakshmi, Ganesha, and Kuber Ji.
- Keep gold/silver coins, jewelry, account books (Bahi-Khata), and a Kalash on the pooja altar.
